Welcome to the year 2010. It seems almost impossible to be saying this, I don’t know why but somehow I had a different expectation of what this time period would look like. It probably has something to do with watching all those editions of ‘Tomorrow’s World’, as a child. (An ancient UK television programme from the 70s that helped us to look ahead into how the world might look in the year 2000 and beyond!) Well they definitely got some things wrong. Where, for instance, is my flying car and personal robot? Still waiting for the ironing machine – now that really would be good. And what about those purple wigs and silver cat suits we were promised. Now they really would minimise on ironing and no need to take that hair dryer with me everywhere.
The reality is far from what I had expected, but is that because it wasn’t really my dream in the first place? Well perhaps that is exactly why those things have not materialised.
Which leads me to the questions: “How many people does it take, having the same thoughts, to make something happen?” “Do we all have to have those thoughts at the same time?”
We hear so much these days about the Law of Attraction, Cosmic Ordering, Flowing with the Stream and Creative Reality. There are many names effectively for what is individualised thought, where we are invited to believe that: ‘Thoughts create things’. So if that is the case, then why don’t I have a flying car? Right now, it would be more than useful, as the 2 inches of snow on the road seems to have caused so much chaos in the UK, I cannot use my car at all as the roads are too dangerous to drive on! Just wondering how they manage in Canada?
With all these thoughts running through my mind, it was inevitable that some direction would arrive – I am always open to synchronicity – infact it is my guide.
One morning, into my head popped the name Descartes. I must admit I did not know this name, so I eagerly hopped onto the Internet and discovered this very famous ancient French mathematician and philosopher from the early 1600s. His name was Rene Descartes. So what did I learn?
Well, to my surprise, I discovered that he is responsible, for the above amazing quote. In Latin, Cogito Ergo Sum, which translated simply means, I think, therefore I am.
I think, Therefore I am. Now what did this guy know about the Law of Attraction, I wonder? Because it seems to me he certainly grasped the concept.
So let’s try this on for size.
I think - I am Happy – Therefore – I am Happy
I think – I am Healthy – Therefore – I am Healthy
I think - I am abundant – Therefore I am abundant
I think – I am in a flying car – Therefore I am in a flying car
Not sure about the last one but, nonetheless I would say this guy had Law of Attraction right in his hand, but maybe didn’t realise the implications. Or did he? That bit we might never know, but one thing is for sure, he had certainly stumbled on an amazing concept.
So what of the dream of the future that didn’t happen?
Many people believe that 2012 will bring the end to planet Earth. But how do we know this is true? And if we don’t all know this, then we are not all creating the same thought, or reality, are we?
Just like only a small proportion of the world’s population thinking about owning flying cars, so they don’t exist yet. Can this not apply too, in the case of the end of the world? How many thoughts around the world does it take to create that thing? And if more people, like myself, are wondering how you are going to land that flying car in 2023, can we override the potential for disaster?
So, simply, put, does the future of our planet rest with each and every one of us and our thoughts?
An interesting idea or is it the truth?
So therefore, on one level, it would suggest that not enough people, unlike myself, desire someone to invent an ironing machine?
And what about Global Warming? Are we all so fixated on ice caps melting and the Earth entering a new ice age, that we are creating a scenario before it happens?
The recent extremely cold weather in the UK has caught everyone out. Never thought I would see –18 degrees C in Oxford. Now that is weird. So is something happening because so many people are being told that it is so, therefore it becomes a reality?
Let’s be logical here people. This beautiful planet EARTH that we call home has been around for a long, long time, and has managed to cope without much help from us.
We have plundered its minerals and reserves, its gems and its power. Yet it goes on serving us as it has always done.
SO perhaps, if the ice caps are melting, then maybe they need to and we should just sit back and watch what that creates rather than see it as a destructive process. Everything on EARTH is impermanent and yet we can’t seem to accept what might be a perfectly natural process.
Do you really think we can stop whatever this magical place called EARTH has in store for all us? We share it, we live on it and we die on it and it too has its own thoughts and feelings, except we don’t know what they are.
So my plea for 2010 is to THINK VERY CAREFULLY about your own reality. Only YOU can create your world for YOU because we live in a truly abundant and magical Universe.
If enough of us THINK ABOUT a strong and positive individual future, and perceive this planet as much a part of our lives as it has always been, then perhaps exactly that will occur.
‘I think, Therefore I am’, seems even more appropriate than ever in this regard. AND so the adventure of life continues.
No matter what we choose to believe, it is often what we think and feel that makes the real difference in our lives. If we are able to plant a seed of hope, creativity, joy and love at the base of everything we do, then the outcome can only be a positive ascension for all of us.
When these emotions abound we are capable of achieving anything we desire. And so is the adventure of life. ‘ I think Therefore I am’

We are entering a THREE-year in numerology. This represents all aspects of communication, media, speech, verse and song. It is a number that connects with childhood hopes and dreams as well as sibling relationships. Added to this we have the TEN from 2010. Now when we add the number TEN to the mix, things start to get really interesting because it represents Government, Power, Politics, Law and Order, Social Care and Big Business.
In a year where we are expecting a General Election in the UK, expect to see childlike squabbling in the Houses of Parliament, Ministers reciting nursery rhymes and fables, poetry recited in the Halls of Justice and toys being thrown out of cots in the world of business and banking. Not much change their then!!!
On a more down to earth level, if you have something to say then say it. If you want to start your own business that in anyway involves communication, media, PR, advertising, promotion, etc then go for it. No better time than to get your own radio station going. Childhood dreams can be resurrected and put into place.
ASTROLOGICALLY, I really must mention TIME, TIME, and TIME. It is definitely speeding up and I think in 2010 we will see it literally running away from us. This is not an illusion; it is part of the CHANGE that is taking place on our planet.
We start the year with both Mercury and Mars in retrograde. The power to speak is being postponed – but not for long. March will see this delay blasted open. Infect 18th February is opening one particular doorway – mark that date in your diary.
The amazing scenario of the year is the speed at which the planet Jupiter moves through the sign of Pisces. If you are born under this sign, then expect your life to take off in an extraordinary way. As it buzzes its way through the first part of the year we will be bombarded with everything ‘bannered’ by Pisces. Ghosts, spooks and spectres are everywhere. This is now big business, and everyone seems to be obsessed by it. Ghost hunters have become the new Rock Stars!
Expect a spiritual revolution. We are all awakening – and not before time – to the fact that we are so much more than this body. I have never known so many people to be interested in psychic research and study than there are right now.
Could it be the use of mobile phones and the Internet, that is creating an almost telepathic/electronic desire to open channels of connection with your fellow man and woman 24-7? How long will it be before we no longer need those tools and can simply communicate by our thoughts? (Back to those again – just remember Thoughts create Things!!!)
June finds Jupiter moving into Aries. This changes the dynamic from spiritual achievement to power madness. Who is left holding the keys to the kingdom? Getting a hold on meaningless wars needs to be done before we hit this time frame otherwise, we can expect to see massacres in areas of the world where war has a habit of breaking out.
Hopefully, some common sense will prevail somewhere and we will stop sending young men to die in the HELL that is HELMAND PROVINCE in Afghanistan.
Without stepping too far into someone else’s pie, it doesn’t take a lot to see this is really pushing water up hill.
Afghanistan is not our place to CHANGE. It is said to be the seat of creation by many. Its waters are turquoise and its landscape alien in some respects, but rather like a crystalline volcanic desert. It holds many secrets but are they ours in the West, to discover? I believe they are not. Some things are best left undisclosed.
So to avoid war breaking out in a big way somewhere between June and September, be nice to Russians and Chinese people. They are just like us but have to live in extreme temperatures – now we know what that feels like -18 degrees C in Oxford in January 2010!
And what of the forth-coming election? Well, it is likely to be something you wish was over already. Blaming, finger pointing and everyone else’s fault and not a grown up in site. Expecting to see Mr Brown in tears at some point and throwing a tantrum because he can’t get his own way any more.
The Liberal leader takes on the grown up role, but will enough people vote? (Love his ideas by the way)
Can’t wait to see the forthcoming brand new episode of Most Haunted called: ‘Ghost Hunting with DAVID and YVETTE’ – a ministerial edition. We could get to see our new Prime Minister David hiding behind Yvette as she gets him to crawl through the dungeons of Westminster shouting: “ Is there anybody here.” To everyone’s alarm out leaps Gordon Brown screaming about the injustice of it all and asking why oh why wasn’t he invited, and what will become of him now he has no friends.
Just at that moment the resident medium starts communication with Guy Forks about the difficulties of government at which point David trips over an old Lord who has made his home down in the dungeon because he can’t afford his country estate since he had to pay back his expenses.
Aagh alas only my imagination but this is a Jupiter in Pisces production.

When I first started studying astrology professionally, one of the most annoying things that kept coming up, was how much negative press this sign seemed to accrue amongst fellow astrologers. As a CAPRICORN, I felt at times like I was blighted by my birth date. How could all this negativity show up in just my sign? Was it a plot, and what could I do about it? The instigator of all this trouble, was the one and only planet Saturn, the ruler of CAPRICORN.
Surely, things couldn’t be that bad, could they? I must admit at the time I thought about giving up and just throwing in the towel. If all I could ever expect was difficulty, pain and suffering, well what the heck was the point in reading on?
Fortunately, time healed and I began to find other books to study and then of course through personal experiences with clients etc – on which all my PERSONALITY PROFILE’S are based by the way – I began to sense a very different meaning to this much maligned planet.
And so began my years of trying to understand the complexity and nature of this sign and the people born into the CAPRICORN family.
Saturn, I believe, is a Way-shower. It shines a light into the darkness wherever there is fear, worry, pain and doubt. It can often disable people, mentally, physically and or emotionally, in some way, but not to intentionally give them difficulty, but to show them, I believe, just how strong and powerful they really are.
Now this is the CAPRICORN choice I believe. To stay in all that misery, which is often self perpetuating, or to rise to the occasion and become truly enlightened souls.
Saturn is the Universal teacher. It will give you as much as you are prepared to take and more if you let it. But it will also provide you with a backbone of supreme connections if you ask it to.
It has been my honour to meet many CAPRICORN’s over the years. They are all so different, and equally amazing in their own right. But one thing that never ceases to amaze me is how downright honest and determined they can be. Yes, many seemingly have been through much adversity of a kind – but are still smiling despite everything.
Now if you are a wise CAPRICORN, you will know that life has a way of pointing you in the right direction when you bother to:- 1) ASK and 2) LOOK.
It doesn’t matter what the question is – only that you are prepared to take notice of a greater power than yourself. Your middle name is Responsibility, but don’t let that block you from the greater journey.
Many CAPRICORN’S live very unfulfilled lives simply because they remain in fear of everything. Especially, when they allow anxiety over their health to take the reigns. This is Saturn again. As Saturn deals with death, it can be a life-long battle which creates so many fears and phobias for these deeply sensitive souls.
My advice to all born under this sign is to get to know more about your inner-self.
Meditate, take up yoga, join a retreat and get away from the real world of manifestation and money. You don’t need to worry about that because you are an Earth sign. If things are blocked here for you, then it is likely to be because you are following the wrong path. CAPRICORN’S are by nature the most altruistic of signs, and so it is their destiny to have abundance, in order to share it.
Think very carefully if you are chasing shadows or illusionary dreams, if nothing seems to change your financial situation. One step to the right or left could make you a millionaire. Sleep on this and see what happens !!!
To understand a CAPRICORN is rather like trying to understand the Number 13. Although this is not your rulership it might just as well be. There is a great deal of mystery, fear, superstition and magic associated with this number. People are often genuinely afraid of it, simply because they don’t understand its power or how it works.
But those that do know, and who are willing to speak about it, are often magicians in their own right. For it holds within it the access key to life and death itself and opens the door to other dimensions, I believe.
The above pretty much sums up the character of a CAPRICORN living in this time frame. People may fear you, be wary of you, be in awe of you, but at the same time know that you have something quite extraordinary to share.

On the one hand it would appear to make certain demands that we make plans to live our lives in a certain way, as the governing voice, but on the other hand it asks, through this 10th house energy:- "If you have within you the potential to be all you can be and to rise to the pinnacle of your professional life, what are you waiting for?"
So let’s look at the numerology. The number TEN challenges the ONE, which wants to lead or hide and the number ZERO, which connects us with the inner voice and the higher-self. Could it be trying to tell us to look within to find that personal power and potential? I believe that is the only way forward for those that are born under this sign. FEMALE EMOTIONS
The female CAPRICORN can often be noticed by the distinctive clothing she chooses to wear. It is likely to be either cut from the finest cloth, the most expensively tailored trouser suit she can find, or it will be in someway rather unusually odd.
This lady does not follow fashion in the normal sense. It will always have a hint of something so beguiling or fascinating, that others will want to know where she got her idea or how she came to find her current outfit.
When she is wearing the best that she can afford, she will look quite amazing. Others will not be able to ignore this often very slender beauty.
But when it comes to love the female CAPRICORN can find it all very complicated and difficult. Often her choice of lover is far from ordinary. She will go out of her way to meet those who somehow don’t exist in normal society, and if they do, have some extreme hobby or connection that makes them difficult to get hold of, difficult to reach and more often than not, difficult to live with.
Why? Well on a personal level I can only say that my choice of partners has always been interesting, and I have loved them all for their eccentricities, but I guess they all had some powerful part to play in the story that has been my life. And I believe this happens to many CAPRICORN’s. It is as if love goes beyond the usual story of boy meets girl, romance and happy ever after.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe you are destined to find love, but there are likely to be many diversions along the way, designed it would seem to get you back onto a different path and to assist you in finding the one with whom you match. It is not surprising as your ruler SATURN rules lessons and experience.
What I would say to my fellow CAPRICORN’s who may be sitting at home wondering if they are with the right person or wondering if they will ever meet anyone is do look beyond what you believe you think is right for you.
Especially if you struggle to hold onto relationships.
There is always a hidden gem when you open your heart and let go of how you think your relationship should be. Many CAPRICORN females are gay or choose to be bisexual, simply because that is part of their journey.

By sitting at the front of the queue this year, you get to see what is coming before many others. You might prefer to be at the back of the queue. However, you have been put there for a reason.
When the time comes it will all make sense and you will open the doors which bring you into alignment with your higher purpose.
Trust that you are always surrounded by those that love you and that have been with you since you arrived on this planet.
